Q: What is The Kin Cabin?
The Kin Cabin is a private creative studio rental located in Shakespeare, Ontario, inside the historic Harry Ten Shilling building. It's a 600 sq ft, fully styled space available for photo shoots, content creation, workshops, small events, pop-ups, meetings, and intimate gatherings.
Q: Where is The Kin Cabin located?
We're at 2203 Line 34, Shakespeare, Ontario, N0B 2P0 , inside the Harry Ten Shilling building. We're a few minutes from Stratford and a short drive from Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and the surrounding Perth County area.
Q: How much does it cost to rent the studio?
Pricing starts at $75/hr
Q: What is included in a rental?
Every booking includes the fully styled studio with props, three connected rooms, moveable furniture, an electric fireplace, natural light, 10 chairs and 2 tables. Additional seating for up to 20 guests total can be added for a small fee.
Q: How many people can the studio hold?
The studio comfortably seats 10 guests at the communal table in the back gathering room. With the addition of the front creating room and extra seating (available for a small fee), you can accommodate up to 20 guests total.
Q: Can I bring food and drinks?
Yes! You're welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note that outside alcohol is not permitted.
Q: Is the space photographer friendly?
Yes. The studio has two large windows (including a beautiful arched window), an electric fireplace, and a full-length curtain you can draw across the wall for a more neutral backdrop. It's designed with content creators and photographers in mind.
Q: Can I host a workshop or class at The Kin Cabin?
Absolutely. The studio is perfect for small workshops, educational classes, craft nights, coaching sessions, and creative circles. You can book the space privately or inquire about partnering on a Kin-hosted event.
Q: What types of events are a good fit?
The Kin Cabin works well for: photography and content creation days, branding and product shoots, workshops and hands-on classes, pop-up experiences, bachelorette gatherings, birthday celebrations, team off-sites, client sessions, and 1:1 coaching.
