Studio Policies

1. General Rules

• No pets.

• No smoking, vaping or open flames.

• No glitter, confetti, or hazardous materials.

• No alcohol unless a special request has been approved in advance.​

• Furniture & props: Do not drag furniture. Lift items carefully. Return all furniture and props to their original places. You are responsible for any damages.

• Music system: Enjoy responsibly and respect neighbours.

• Clean up: Leave the cabin as you found it. Sweep, wipe surfaces, tidy props, and dispose of trash. A minimum $50 cleaning fee may apply if the space is left untidy; any damage will be charged based on repair or replacement costs.
   

Special Use Notes:

• The upper level and back room tea room are strictly off limits.

• ​Shared hallways must remain clear and cannot be used for staging or waiting.

• Your booking time includes setup and cleanup. Overtime may be charged by the hour.

• The space is intended for photography, videography, content creation, and small workshops/events. Other uses require approval. Unsafe or illegal activity is not allowed.

• Maximum capacity is 20 people, unless approved in advance. Shared hallways must remain clear.
   

2. Parking and Access

• Location: The Kin Cabin is located at 2203 Line 34, Shakespeare, Ontario, N0B 2P0, Canada.

• Parking: Onsite parking is available (up to 3 spots depending on the day). Please avoid blocking other vehicles. Additional parking is available across the street or near the vape shop, there’s never a shortage of parking in Shakespeare.

• ​Please enter through the door on Main Street, not the back parking lot. It’s located beside the #7 on the brick building. There is no signage at the moment.

• A key holder will let you in and lock up at the end of your booking.​

3. Booking & Rates

• Booking: All rentals must be booked in advance. Full payment confirms your time.

• Rates: Charged hourly or by block. Extra fees apply for overtime, after-hours use, excessive cleaning, or damages.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• Full payment is required at booking. All bookings are final.

• Studio Credit Policy:

  • Over 48 hours (or 24 hours, depending on your preference) before booking: Eligible for studio credit.

  • Less than 48 hours (or 24 hours) / no-shows: No credit.

• Studio credit must be used for a new booking within 3 months of the original date.

• If The Kin Cabin cancels, you will receive a 100% refund or credit.
   

5. Cleaning & Liability

• Leave the studio as you found it: sweep, wipe surfaces, tidy props, remove all items and garbage.

• A $50 minimum cleaning fee may apply for excessive mess.

• Any damage will be charged based on repair or replacement.

• Renters are responsible for their own safety and belongings. The Kin Cabin is not liable for lost items or injuries.
   

6. Agreement to Terms
 

By booking The Kin Cabin, you confirm that you:

• Have read and agree to all rules, parking instructions, and policies above.

• Understand that failure to follow these policies may result in additional fees, loss of studio credit, or future booking restrictions.
